We wish to thank residents who took the time to attend our Featherston wastewater engagement drop-in sessions last month. We appreciate the community’s feedback.

We are currently working through the feedback gathered to identify the key themes and these will be considered and addressed by SWDC staff and its consultants. Topics identified may result in further technical analysis or additional information being released to the public, and will assist us in determining the next steps with this project.

Some wastewater treatment options that were suggested by residents are being costed and a rates impact comparison is being prepared. These figures, along with a cross section of the topics raised, and how we propose to address them will be made available to the community in the near future.
