The 2014/2015 Annual Plan was adopted by Council on the 25 June 2014.

Thank you to all those people who made a submission to the Draft Annual Plan and took the time to present your submission in person to Council.  Your interest and involvement helps shape the decisions made by councillors and in turn determines how our district looks in the future.

Council received 158 submissions covering over 340 individual requests as part of this process. The Mayor and councillors heard 49 verbal submissions over the 9 and 10 June 2014 and then deliberated on all submissions on the 10 June 2014.  Deliberations on the Martinborough Town Hall were adjourned on the 10 June 2014 and the meeting reconvened on the 19 June 2014 to complete the deliberations process.

The total rates increase for 2014/2015 has been struck at 3.58%.  As explained in the Draft Annual Plan, the increase over the forecast rates increase in the LTP is attributed to the purchase of land at Papawai for waste water treatment and the inclusion of the seal extension proposal.
