Under L2 COVID-19 Council is permitted to hold meetings in venue provided it can do so safely.
Audio-visual conference facilities will be available so that elected members, staff, or members of the public making an appearance in the public forum who are at risk due to COVID-19 can attend the meeting remotely. The meeting will be recorded, and made available on Council’s Youtube Channel enabling members of the public unable to attend the meeting in person the ability to view proceedings at a later time.
All participating members count for the purpose of the meeting quorum in accordance with clause 25B of Schedule 7 to the Local Government Act 2002.
Members of the public in attendance will be required to sign a contact register and use hand sanitiser before entering the venue and must remain 2m apart from other members of the public, staff, and elected members. Elected members are classified as staff and must remain 1m apart from other elected members and staff.
A request to speak in the Public Participation session should be made to Suzanne Clark (suzanne.clark@swdc.govt.nz or 06 306 9611) at least 24 hours prior to the meeting
