Consultation – Proposed Draft Combined Bylaw for Longwood and Moroa Water Races
Public Notice is hereby given that the South Wairarapa District Council has prepared a Statement of Proposal and draft Combined Bylaw for the Longwood and Moroa Water Races, and will be undertaking formal consultation on them with the South Wairarapa Community in accordance with the provisions of sections 156 and 83 of the Local Government Act 2002.

Submissions on the Bylaw are welcome until further notice. Download a submission form, or complete an online form. There are several ways to lodge your submission:

All submissions will be considered by Council when deciding whether to adopt the draft Combined Bylaw for Longwood and Moroa Water Races, with or without amendments. All submitters have the right to be heard in person in support of their submission at the Submissions Hearing by Council, which is intended to be held sometime in August. All submitters will be advised of the time and place of the Hearing once set.
Note:
Submissions will not be returned.
Subject to any exceptions made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, submissions will be available to the general public.
The hearing will be open to the public.
