8.30am, Sunday 12 December – Update
The water plant worked overnight to refill the reservoir so residents can use water as normal now. With all the rain today we don’t expect people to be watering their gardens anyway, and the alternate days watering policy still applies odd number property on odd number days and evens on evens. Thank you to those who shared the message last night.
6.43pm, Saturday 7 December
Please minimise water use as much as possible overnight. A Wellington Water technician is at the supply plant monitoring things closely, following an issue with the plant stopping.
It takes 4 hours to get the plant started again so it would be helpful if residents could limit water use to essential use only until everything is back to normal.
A further update will be shared here and on Facebook in the morning. Thanks for your co-operation.
