Why is this work happening?
This is part of the wider programme of work to raise a number of pedestrian crossings in the Wairarapa. The design for the new raised platform crossings will be much safer for people to walk, cycle and drive. This is because they are brighter, bigger and bolder making them more visible. We’ll also be making some improvements to the footpath at the same time.

- Greytown (Main Street, near Wood Street)
Mid November – end of November
- Carterton (High Street, near Pembroke Street)
Early December – mid-December
