Commencing Saturday 2 March, the public litter bins at Tora will be removed to promote a “pack in pack out” practice for visitors, and for locals to respect the environment by taking control of their waste.

This follows ongoing issues with the bins being used for household waste. While Council has tried to address these concerns before taking this unfortunate step, including twice weekly rubbish collections over the summer months, these have not been able to resolve the issue.

We will review this decision throughout the year.
