SH53 Bridge Closures Lower Tauherenikau Bridge & Waihenga River Bridge
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that the Lower Tauherenikau Bridge will be closed Sunday night 25 March between 8pm and 5am and the Waihenga Bridge Monday night 26 March between 8pm and 5am. The closures will allow access for contractors to carry out necessary maintenance work. Please note that should the weather not permit the works to go ahead on the planned night then there will be a closure on the next available fine night. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Detour Route: diversions will be in place – please follow the signs.
