State Highway 2 through Greytown (also known as Main Street) will be closed on Friday 24 January from 6.30pm to 9.30pm for the community to view the vehicles in this year’s Cruise Martinborough.

The annual Cruise Martinborough event features hot rod, classic and muscle cars made in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and prior. They will be parked at the Greytown Workingmen’s Club for the community to view and enjoy on Friday 24 January and there is no postponement date, if the event needs to be cancelled or postponed.

The detour

There will be a detour in place for vehicles travelling north on State Highway 2 (Main Street, Greytown), This will run from the intersection of Main Street and Wood Street. Vehicles can follow the detour route by turning left on to Wood Street then following the detour sign turning left on to West Street and continuing detour signs to turn left on to Kuratawhiti Street and back on to Main Street where the detour ends.
