Council is aware that the streetlights in Greytown are out. We can assure you this has been raised with Mercury and Powerco again, and it has now been escalated as a highly urgent issue that requires a detailed investigation ASAP. We will keep you informed once we get an update.

Update 2.36pm – Friday 30 April
It has now been confirmed that the contractor investigated the issue last night and it has been established that further investigation is required to find what is causing the periodic fault. Not being a consistent fault means the reason is not obvious.
The lights have been left on for now and are being monitored. Electricians are also in the area today to test to find any contributing factors causing the sections of street lights circuit to periodically fault.
Please be mindful that street lights are on all day and we will report back once we have the report back from the electricians.
