Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that State Highway 2 (SH2) over the Remutaka Hill will be closed for essential maintenance on 1 night, Sunday 16 April from 9pm to 4am the following morning.

Access will be available for emergency services throughout the closure. If you’re a night shift worker or must travel, a limited escorted vehicle service is available for light vehicles. Bookings are essential, please email customer@wta.nzta.govt.nz
