South Wairarapa District Council, under sections 319(1)(h) and 342(1)(a) and Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1974, gives notice that it proposes to stop a portion of unformed legal road adjacent to 23 Humphries Street, Greytown being 0.0295ha described as Section 1 on SO Plan 568092.

The Council proposes to stop the portion of the road so it can be sold and incorporated into the adjoining title of 23 Humphries Street, Greytown, RT 521802. Council purchased the land forming the portion of road from the owners of 23 Humphries Street in 2020 for future road widening. Council no longer requires this unformed portion of land for road, footpath, berm or future road widening.

Section 1 SO 568092 when stopped as road will be sold and incorporated into the adjoining title of 23 Humphries Street Greytown, RT 521802 to restore the original title.

Inspection of the plan and additional information

The survey plan and additional information may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of South Wairarapa District Council at 19 Kitchener Street, Martinborough 5711 and online here.

Objections

Any person wishing to object to the proposed road stopping must lodge their objection in writing at the Council’s office or to enquiries@swdc.govt.nz to arrive on or before 4.00pm on Tuesday 18 January 2022.
