Paying your rates by 20 May, in Covid-19 Alert Level 2

We appreciate that the last few weeks have been tough, including financially hard for some people.

Your rates are crucial for funding essential council services, so we especially appreciate those people who are able to pay on time, by 20 May for the current instalment.

A good time to move to paying online

Now is a really good time to set up a direct debitautomatic payment, or start paying by internet banking. In this time of Covid-19, these are the safest, and still the most convenient, ways to pay your rates.

Sending a cheque by post is also acceptable.

Need to pay in person?

For those who need to pay in person, including by cash or cheque, this option will be available in Level 2 between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday at Council offices, and during normal opening hours at the service centres located at Featherston and Greytown libraries.

Note that Council office hours for drop-in customers have been reduced to allow for staff shift working within the Council office building. This is in order to ensure staff can practise physical distancing within the workplace.
